July 11th, 2020: Follow that robot
This morning Livvie requested bagels in bed for breakfast which has now been a traditional three weeks in a row. The morning went by with various activities, board games, stickers, sand and LEGO. We took a quick errand trip to drop off the old stair chandelier at Habitat for Humanity, before heading to Walmart.
This however, was probably the most interesting trip to Walmart I can recall. We started with the normal route, housewares, toys, etc before finishing with groceries.
In our second or third grocery aisle, I saw something that made me do a double take… Walmart has instituted a robot autonomous floor cleaning robot…!
Once I showed Livvie we tried to spend the rest of the time chasing the robot. We only saw it one more time before it must have left the grocery section. It was very cool to see that technology in use and really made me think about the fact that Walmart is realizing might be cheaper for that technology than paying minimum wage to someone who is probably not too motivated to sweep the floor.
Before bed time, Livvie wanted to try on the Elena dress up outfit. She has been against dresses for months now, so I took her up on the interest. It was only on for a minute before wanting to get into pajamas instead.
